Fall Hunting
For the hunter, Pine Portage Lodge offer a popular fall fishing & duck hunting package, as well as moose, bear and small game hunting. Blinds and canoes are provided if needed. Experienced guide service is available with advanced notice.
Meal hours are adjusted to suit the hunting hours for those on the American Plan. Combine a morning hunt with a mid-day shore lunch of freshly caught fish. Late afternoon provides more shooting opportunities followed by dinner back at the Lodge. Kaby Lake is located in the Northern Flyways, birds are not yet "gun-shy" and only a few decoys are required to draw in the birds.
Our Pine Portage Lodge office can provide hunters with the necessary information, forms and required license information for their Northern Ontario hunt. All hunters must be wearing "Hunter Orange" in the form of a vest or jacket. Please comply with Ontario's new regulations concerning the importing, registering and transportation of firearms and ammunition.

| DUCK HUNTING Package: Begins Thursday September 10th, 2010  | There is a $10.00 per hunter surcharge daily to any fishing package you choose. This surcharge covers setting up duck blinds and adjusted meal hours as required. | |
BEAR HUNTING Package: Begins September 1, 2010  | We offer a fall bear hunt only, from baited stands - American Plan or housekeeping plans. This package includes Bear License, all accommodations, baited stands, boat, motor and gas and flying your bear out. American Plan includes all meals, with adjusted hours to accommodate hunting. We do provide guide service to accompany hunter to stands on day one, however, additional guide services, skinning bears etc. is a surcharge. We do limit the number of hunters to ensure quality hunting. Please contact our office for rates on our 3, 4 and 5 days packages.Combine your bear hunt with great fishing for walleyes, northern pike, whitefish and perch. | |
MOOSE HUNTING Package: Bow Hunt for Resident/Non Resident Last week of September. We offer 5 and 7 days packages. Inquire for details.  Resident Gun Moose Hunt: Opens Saturday, October 9, 2010 Non-Resident Moose Hunt: Opens Monday, October 11th, 2010 | Packages INCLUDE Moose hunting LICENSE, ONE ADULT TAG FOR EACH HUNTER, boat/motor/gas, your flight return and flying your moose out. You have the option of guided or non-guided hunt. The American Plan Package includes all meals, accommodations and maid service. On the Housekeeping plan (self guided) the cottage is totally equiped, you need only provide your groceries. We limit the number of hunters and our previous hunters have first option.
